In chapter eight you will find yourself in the basement of the Hackett house on behalf of Ryan. There you will find several cages. Jacob will be in one of them, and a werewolf will be in the other. If you agree to rescue Jacob, he will tell you about the switches on the wall. They must be lowered one by one to open Jacob’s cage and the door to the outside.
However, Jacob will ask you not to open the door from the cage with the werewolf, because if you do, the beast will break out and the characters’ lives will be in danger.
So, to free Jacob, first press the”1″ and”2″ switches. This is how you will open the character’s cage. After that, press switches”1″ and”4″ to open the middle door. This will free Jacob and he will be safe.
You can also open the cage with the shapeshifter Nick by pressing switches”3″ and”4″. By opening the middle door first, you will make the werewolf run away. But Laura has time to close the electrified gate, and then Travis appears. If you open Jacob’s cage first and then the werewolf’s cage, the latter will massacre the boy, despite all the shouting around.
There’s another way to go about this. If you choose other combinations of switches, which we haven’t mentioned in this guide, Ryan will get electrocuted. After two failures, Ryan will give up, Jacob will stay in the cage, and the story will run its course.
