The Misty Mountains and Valleys challenge at Genshin Impact – here’s how to unlock and complete it.
The first stage of the Summer Sea Voyage event at Genshin Impact, called Breaking the Waves, has already been completed. Now it’s the turn of the second stage, Misty Mountains and Valleys. Now you’ll learn how to open it and what to do in general.

To access the challenge, complete the”Springtime Yard Past” story quest — follow the link to see how to complete it. The challenge consists of several Kazuhi dungeons in which you have to solve puzzles, look for chests, collect Omamori and colorful leaves.
To begin the Misty Mountains and Valleys challenge, click”Start Challenge” and teleport to the island with the bonsai that appeared in the Spring Yard Past Challenge. Interact with it and begin the challenge, seeing beforehand what enemies you will encounter.
Misty Mountains and Valleys in Genshin Impact – how to complete the challenge
Here you will fight enemies for time – they will attack in waves. Two trial options are available – Direct Attack and Primary Exploration. In Direct Attack you will go straight to the final arena, and in Primary Exploration you can run through the whole dungeon.
You’ll get 200 shells per challenge, the first day’s limit is 600 shells. We advise you to take one Primary Exploration and two Direct Attacks – it will be faster that way.
In combat you’ll get a special skill that allows you to do area damage. There will also be maple leaves in three colors in the arena:
- Orange leaves increase attack power by 30% for 8 seconds.
- Yellow decreases rolls of hex and ultimates by 20% for 8 seconds.
- Azure increases jump height and decreases rolls of Dissect Flux
- ! leaves.”
As for rewards, in addition to shells, you’ll also get extra”goodies” like pestilence, source stones, ore, and experience books. These will be contingent on completing special Achievements:
- Complete”Primary Exploration” at least once.
- Complete the Misty Mountains and Valleys challenge three times.
- Decrease the roll time of the Dissecting Leaf Stream 10 times during one challenge.
- Activate Dissecting Leaf Stream 8 times during the final challenge.
If you complete all of these tasks, you will receive maximum rewards.
