Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds Beginner’s Guide – 5 Mistakes

Guides

Don’t spend resources on improving your items or familiars too early. I’m talking about resources with 2, 3 and 4 stars. These are rare”things” that are not often dropped for free and are expensive in the stores. If you spend them on weapons or entry-level familiars, they will go to waste, because in the future you will get more powerful items and will upgrade them from scratch.

Moreover, until you reach level 20-25, don’t think about upgrading with top-end items at all. Use the one-star ones at most. This will be enough to get you through an impressive portion of the story.

Waste of gems

As with rare materials, we don’t recommend wasting gems – premium currency that is bought for money and dropped in small quantities for completing certain quests – in the early stages. Until you reach level 30-40, try to spend gems only to upgrade training dungeons. The rest save for the purchase of bonuses for a more highly trained character.

Wasting potions

Very occasionally you’ll be knocking out potions that increase the chance of good loot and increase the experience you get. Until you reach level 30, 40, and especially level 50, don’t even think about using these potions. You will easily level up and pass all quests without them. But when the difficult stage starts, when you need to grind a lot, these potions will come in very handy.

Rush with daily quests

Don’t rush to do the dailies. The thing is, the rewards given out on them are scaled depending on the level of the character. If you plan to raise one or more levels during the game session, do so, and then proceed to the daily tasks. This is especially true in the early stages of development, when levels are gained relatively easily. That way you get a lot more rewards.

Ignoring Kingdoms

Kingdoms in Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds is essentially a guild in which you team up with other players and take part in PvE and PvP activities. This means that being members of the kingdom will get you more rewards.

What, you don’t want to socialize, are shy, or like to sail solo? Join any kingdom anyway, because by earning king coins you’ll be able to purchase perks in your castle that aren’t available anywhere else (experience, buffs, etc.). Without a kingdom you’ll seriously slow down your character development. With a kingdom you will lose nothing and gain a lot.
