Predicting Bitcoin’s Future: Insights from Top Crypto Analysts

Technologie

The question of what Bitcoin’s price will be tomorrow, at the end of the year, next year, or in a few years is a recurring topic among members of the crypto community. Numerous variables complicate forecasting, but some analysts manage to accurately predict market movements.

Michael van de Poppe

Michael van de Poppe is a trader and crypto analyst who gained popularity through his blogging activities. He shares market analysis and trading strategies on his social media platforms. Van de Poppe has deep knowledge in technical analysis and frequently publishes cryptocurrency forecasts.

Before fully transitioning to the crypto industry, Michael worked in traditional financial markets, gaining valuable experience. He views cryptocurrencies not just as trading instruments but also as technological innovations capable of transforming the understanding of finance.

In 2021, Poppe predicted that Bitcoin would rise to $350,000-$450,000 in the cycle following the 2020 halving. This prediction did not come true. In November 2021, Bitcoin reached a peak near $69,000, followed by a prolonged decline.

In 2023, Poppe forecasted Bitcoin to rise to $50,000 ahead of the halving. This time, the analyst was closer to the mark, with Bitcoin meeting the halving near $64,000. Poppe also successfully predicted positive dynamics for BTC at the end of 2024.

Peter Brandt

Peter Brandt is a renowned trader and analyst with over 40 years of experience in financial markets. He is known for his expertise in technical analysis. Brandt gained popularity in the cryptocurrency community due to his accurate and often successful predictions. He frequently shares his thoughts and analyses on X (formerly Twitter) and other media platforms.

Brandt is also known for his strict risk management and capital rules. He emphasizes the importance of discipline and psychological resilience in trading, as well as the need for continuous learning and adaptation to changing market conditions.

In January 2018, Brandt made one of the most accurate Bitcoin predictions, correctly forecasting the crypto winter of 2018. He also accurately predicted the rise of BTC at the end of 2023. However, he did not anticipate Bitcoin’s entry into an active growth phase before the 2024 halving. His 2022 prediction suggested that BTC’s growth would begin in May 2024.

PlanB

PlanB is the pseudonym of an anonymous analyst known for his work on the Bitcoin pricing model, “Stock-to-Flow” (S2F). This model predicts the value of BTC based on its limited supply and the rate of new coin issuance, which is adjusted by halvings. Its goal is to provide the most accurate Bitcoin forecast. Unfortunately, statistics show that S2F does not always meet this goal.

PlanB first published the S2F model in March 2019 and quickly became a popular figure in the crypto community. By profession, he is a financier with many years of experience working in European financial institutions. PlanB often discusses his analytical conclusions and thoughts on X (formerly Twitter) and YouTube, where he shares updates on his model and the cryptocurrency market in general.

Unfortunately, not all of PlanB’s predictions come true. For example, in 2021, he expected Bitcoin to rise to $135,000, and in the best case, to $450,000. However, the actual prices of Bitcoin in 2021 were lower. In November 2021, Bitcoin reached a peak near $69,000, followed by a prolonged decline.

In 2023, PlanB predicted an active rise in BTC after the 2024 halving. This prediction also did not come true. In 2024, Bitcoin set an all-time high before the halving for the first time in recorded history. After the 2024 halving, BTC entered a correction phase.
